| Description | Membrane permeable fluorescein-based probe suitable for the fluorometric detection of Zn2+. In living cells Zinpyr-1 mainly stains the Golgi or a Golgi-associated vesicle. It undergoes a shift in excitation from 515 to 507nm with increasing zinc concentrations using an emission filter over 513-558nm. A stock solution of 1mM (823µg/ml) should be prepared to stain brain sections. This stock solution can be further diluted in 0.9% saline to get a working solution with a final concentration of 10-20µM. |
