The mechanism of action of KC7F2 is via down-regulation of HIF-1α protein synthesis accompanied by suppression of phosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E binding protein 1 and p70 S6 kinase, key regulators of HIF-1α protein synthesis.
