| Description | 7-Hydroxycoumarin-4-acetic acid is a fluorescent pH indicator. 7-Hydroxycoumarin-4-acetic acid is used for labeling amine-specific peptides, proteins and other biological molecules to give blue fluorescence. It is used as fluorigenic substrate, e.g. in BSA-HCA complexes for fatty acid concentration measurement or for fluorometric enzymatic analysis. It also can be used as a building block for synthesis of other coumarin-based probes. Spectral data: lambdaEx=360nm; lambdaEm=450nm (DMSO). |
