Represses dsRNA virus propagation by specifically blocking translation of viral mRNAs, perhaps recognizing the absence of CAP or poly(A). Essential for controlling the propagation of M double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) and thus for preventing virus-induced cytopathology. |
